That's how many days I've been married. Crazy!

This weekend we went on a mini-vacation in celebration of our second anniversary. The tour included a visit to the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame/Museum, Put-in-Bay, and Ada. We also went to Michigan (a new state for me!).

The Rock Hall was really interesting. I think my favorite part was that the items were the actual pieces belonging to the actual artists. It's strange to think we were really looking at the personal notebooks of John Lennon, the worn clothing of Elton John, and the sunglasses of Roy Orbison. Pretty surreal.

As for PIB, I spent summer 2002 there on project, so being there brought back a lot of memories. It is the place I prayed fervently about whether or not God wanted me to begin a relationship with Randy. It was very special to go to the exact places I prayed again - only this time with the man I prayed for.

Ada? You wonder. It was the location of our nephew's first birthday. He's a cutie (see below for proof).

And now for a photographic installment:

What a weekend

Thanks to Randy's awesome job as an entertainment editor, we went to Lollapalooza last weekend for free! We got to spend some time with Kathi and Kevin, saw some amazing concerts, ate the best cereal we've ever tasted, and, of course, bought some new furniture.

Now for some pictures:

Fun with Vegetables

This weekend Randy and I planted vegetables. Soon we hope to have carrots, lettuce and garlic sprouting in our self-watering containers. We also hope to see lavendar and basil popping up soon.
One step closer to the self-sustaining lifestyle we're dreaming about...

I normally don't do this, but it's been on my heart today.
I received an email from a friend letting me know about Erik and Kelly Steffan - a couple on staff with Campus Crusade for Christ. Erik was diagnosed with brain cancer December 2004. He has spent most of the time since then winning the battle, but recently the cancer has spread and he is to the point that doctors don't expect him to live much longer (days or weeks they say).
I do not know the Steffan's personally, but Erik was Randy's discipler on Traverse City Summer Project. I'm not sure if any of you know them either.
I spent quite a while on their website this morning and was really touched by their confidence in God throughout everything.
Please pray for the Steffan family and all who know them, as the future for Erik seems to shorten daily.
Thanks.

A long time coming...

Things I have done over the past two months:
Started working from home
Read a few books (okay, 4)
Started studying Breaking Free with Shannon
Watched some friends get married
Heard about a friend's new baby
Started planning a trip to New England for Cieto's wedding
Got my hair cut
Went to Cincinnati for a day
Learned that I'm really going to miss the Marshall's when they move
Got new glasses
Created a new blog entry

That about sums it up. See you in another two months.
